Halimun Jade Oolong Bio
Halimun Jade Oolong Tea is a special variety of Oolong Tea grown in the protected Gunung National Park, on the slopes of Mount Halimun, in Indonesia. This Tea is distinguished by its unique flavor, which combines the floral and fruity characteristics typical of Oolongs with distinctive notes linked to the terroir of Southeast Asia. Mount Halimun is located on the island of Java, Indonesia. This mountainous area, with its cool, foggy climate and fertile soil, provides ideal conditions for growing tea. The mountainous environment contributes to a slow development of the leaves, which leads to a greater concentration of flavors and aromas. It is produced through a partial oxidation process, similar to Chinese Oolongs, but with techniques adapted to local conditions. The leaves are picked and rolled by hand, then withered, shaken, partially oxidized and finally rolled and dried. This process gives the tea its characteristic fresh and complex flavor.
